Amazon Layoffs: Veteran e-commerce company Amazon is planning to lay off 10,000 people this week. This retrenchment is likely to be done in corporate and technology jobs. The New York Times made this claim on Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
As per the report, the job cuts will be at the e-commerce giant’s devices unit, which houses voice-assistant Alexa.
Along with this, there is a possibility of retrenchment in its retail division and human resources. However, the company has not yet responded to the questions of the news agency Reuters.
